[Tokyo. A place of busy people packing the streets as they head to go to work, or to a family's residence, or a friend's house. You'd expect this to be one of the safest cities in the world being so full of people... surely there's a large police force ready to protect the citizens?
Well sadly, nah.
This town is brimming with these things called "ghouls", something blake can't describe because he only knows them as cannibals but he's doing his best writing this setting anyway. They're definitely dangerous and someone had the idea to create his own ghouls, bound to humans, unable to attack their masters and forced to do everything at their whim. He'd use them to fight the ghouls and become a hero except... well they didn't turn out how he wanted. They're more like vampires, which makes them a little less dangerous all things considered but they're a little unstable and blah blah blah. That happened years ago and since then, Ash has been wandering around by himself without a master or a care in the world. The seven of these vampires are based on the seven deadly sins, and unfortunately this poor sap is based on sloth. A lazy asshole who turns his face away from danger when he hears about ghouls ghouling it up downtown.
It's been pretty quiet for a while though, and so he's happily curled up in his cat form, laying next to the front of a coffee shop without really caring about the people walking around him, definitely in the way and able to be tripped over easily.]
